Who Needs A Bathtub? Master Bathroom Before and After

An easy way to create space within a bathroom footprint is to lose the bathtub. Most couples admittidly say they don't use their tub and it's annoying to keep clean. When there was a request for a vanity space on this Franklin project, the tub had to go.

Demo and deconstruction time....

This couple requested clean white finishes and opted for the following selections:

White shaker style cabinets sourced at Wholesale Cabinet Warehouse

12 x 24 carrara style floor tile sourced at Buy Floors Direct

12 x 12 carrara style shower tile sourced at Buy Floors Direct

Hexagon shower floor tile sourced at Lowes

Countertop- Quartzite material in Fantasy Brown at The Granite Place

Paint color Repose Gray from Sherwin Williams

With the tub removed, the new vanity run allowed for more cabinet storage and the new vanity make-up area. This family really appreciated the new his and her drawer space! Additionally, the old 1990s vanity was shorter, so the new vanity brought the space to modern and expected vanity height.

This customer requested a low maintenance shower floor tile. Specifically, she said the fewer the grout lines the better, and I can certainly appreciate that from a cleaning perspective.

Other shower requests on this project included a small shower bench, a glass window to let some natural light into the shower, a shampoo bar and a frameless glass door. I think we accomplished all and more!

A last minute customer lighting request and change order at the end of this project!

We always come back to do a blue tape walk through at the end of our projects to make sure everyone is satisified.

Before and afters:

A little side note, our window installer was waaaaaayyyyyy behind schedule so our project was completed without a new window. We came back after the new window was installed and trimmed out the window.
