A recent client project took us to the Cedarmont Farms neighborhood in Franklin where we worked to modernize a dated fireplace, renovate a bathroom and add some character and function to a bedroom with the addition of a barn door. Today, I want to share with you the fireplace before and after.
This fireplace welcomed us with a classic 80s feel........ brass, outdated trim, and some tired brick!
Jason and I think we took it to a whole new level with this one with the enamel coated fireplace screen, painted brick and updated carpentry (way to go hubs!)
The brass fireplace screen went down first!
Next in line, the trim!!
Initially, we whitewashed the brick, but weren't thrilled with the absorption of the whitewash.
After a round of whitewash, we went for the paint and had Sherwin Williams color match Benjamin Moore Simply White.
Do you need a fireplace refresh? Are you planning to live in your home for the long term or do you need an update related to a home purchase or sale? If any of these descriptions fit you, please give me a call!
