Snags:
During Soffit Demo above and around stovetop placement we found plumbing! $$$$
We installed our cabinets before our new floors……whoopsie!
Island installation- Initially wobbly, but shored up by our contractor
Trim out above new cabinets- tricky
We Called in the Contractors For:
Plumbing work // installing appliances // electrical and lighting // sheetrock work // subfloor work and hardwood floor installation

We loved:
--The new 3-inch hardwoods: so smooth and clean on our feet after walking on the dirty and cracked 12x12 tiles

--The Ikea sink: Loved it cosmetically and found it the perfect size to fill-up with dishes and pans when needed
--The Space Saving Barn Door
--Island and Peninsula Seating
--The Ikea floor to ceiling cabinets flanking the fridge
--Ikea Cabinets and features such as soft close doors and drawers, glass cabinets, pull out trash/recycling, organization features
--Honestly, we loved finishing this project, having family over and just living in it!
The Things We Would Reconsider:
--Our Island Installation Work
--Call Habitat for Humanity before cabinet deconstruction work
--The Bosch 3 rack Dishwasher- While we all loved the ridiculously quiet operation, I missed the heating element and did not prefer the 3 racks as the top sliding utensil rack seemed to always impede our second rack loading.
--30 inch stove top/oven-Too small for us and I wouldn’t do gas on gas again
--More space between range and island- too crowded
